About Kennels & Catteries

Finding somewhere for your dog or cat to stay usually means ringing round, guessing at prices and hoping for the best. Councils inspect and star-rate every licensed kennel and cattery, but those ratings sit in registers most owners never see.

Kennels & Catteries brings that information together. For each town we cover, we list kennels and catteries with their council star rating, licence details and prices, all dated and sourced.

We're independent and not part of any council. Star ratings come from the council, and nobody can pay to change them. Any paid or featured placement will always be clearly labelled. Read how we check.
